Elana also leads conflict resolution, communication skills and diversity trainings for non-profits, governmental agencies and corporations.
Prior to becoming a mediator, Elana had a career in business and finance. She spent a couple of years as a management consultant working for Price Waterhouse. Then, she worked on Wall Street as an investment banker and product specialist in commercial real estate finance.

Elana has trained as a commercial, community and family mediator. She participated in Commercial Mediation Training at The Academy of Experts in Gray's Inn, London; Community Mediation Training at C.A.L.M in Hammersmith, London; and Divorce Mediation Training at Mosten Mediation Training in Los Angeles, CA.
Elana regularly attends conferences, workshops and discussion groups to continuously develop and enhance her skills as a mediator. She is a member of ACR and the Northern California Mediation Association.

Elanas mediation experience includes resolving empolyment, landlord/tenant, harassment, family, business, interpersonal, real estate and intercultural disputes. She mediates for various court affiliated mediation programs in the Bay area.

Elana considers herself a conduit for communication and acceptance, a culttivator of human connection. Her main focus during mediation is to enourage clear and complete communication between all the parties involved. Once there is a sense of closure and completion on past issues, the parties are inspired and empowered to invent new solutions and alternatives. With ease and grace, the parties move toward co-created resolution.

Elana strives to evoke the peacemaker in all of us. Her work as a mediator is grounded in integrity, commitment to resolution and authentic communication.
